Proposal

To start a small business or any type of business you need have money and the idea to start it. Loan are not that easy to acquire you need to have a plan set out before you even start to think to go in a bank. Once you have your loan you need to the right to sell your product, so you need a lawyer to take care of all the legal things. Then you need to find a source where you get your things from.

My partner and I saw that we need a lot of money to start off and we are not sure that people we use our site and product. Amazon.com and Foreignfilms.com are our biggest competitors but since we have our optional English subtitles we have found a website that offers free virtual translation. The newest software version of virtualdub takes existing movies and puts English subtitles. We are also using yahoo ads which are free to small businesses.

We are going to keep our company and workplace only in the U.S because the shipping and handling is going to cost us too much. We offer anything that is over $120 is free S&H.

18,720 per year for 24,000 DVDs/VHS (www.taperesources-store.com) when we bought it in bulk. The films cost a dollar each so that saves us a lot of money and we can make copies, so about $154 for all the films.

The storage is going to be 260 for the year for five rooms from rentacenter for the whole year. They had a promotional offer, so we took it.

We are going to have 5 or more workers depending on how the business is going to work out.

To start a business:

Think what your business is going to be, making sure that you will love what you will do. Next think where the best place to sell your product is, location is everything. Is it online or in a building …etc?

After you receive your bank loan, you decide how to spend the money. Buying in bulk saves time and money. Take into consideration how much profit you get back before deciding prices.

Other things you need to think about are workers/employees, security, legal fees, insurance, advertising, storage and rent.

And think about the problems that might come your way like competition.
